Originally founded as Isaac Timmins Ltd in 1929, the Myers Group can trace its modern day heritage back to 1959 when Readymix Huddersfield was incorporated. The Readymix operation has since expanded into a regional business with four strategically located manufacturing plants.
Group companies also include Johnsons Wellfield, founded in 1854 and acquired by the Myers family in 1979. Johnsons Wellfield is Britain’s leading supplier of natural hard Yorkstone and the only division of the Group trading on a national basis.
Myers Building Supplies is a generalist builders merchant with fifteen branches serving the everyday needs of local building professionals throughout Yorkshire, and is the largest trading division within the organisation.
Completing the Group are two Huddersfield focused specialist businesses – Myers Timber and Myers Skip Hire.

Readymix Huddersfield Limited
Formed in 1959 Readymix Huddersfield continues to provide a ready mixed concrete solution across Yorkshire
Mobile Concrete Pumps
Readymix now operate a mobile concrete pump service one of the first such operation in the north of England. This is used the construction of the Emley Moor Mast which started construction in 1969
Major Civil Engineering Projects
Major works across Yorkshire including the Winscar reservoir, the M62 motorway and the Scammonden Dam bridge
Naylor Myers – the original name for Myers Building Supplies until 2013 was a joint venture with Naylor pipework company as the first branch opened in 1973
Johnsons Wellfield Quarries becomes part of the Myers Group
Honley Skip Hire
The Myers Group acquires Honley Skip Hire what is now known as Myers Skip Hire in 1988

Johnsons Wellfield supplies ashlar stone for the construction of the Huddersfield University Creative Arts School one of the latest landmark buildings in Huddersfield
James & Katie Berry
James & Katie Berry appointed as Managing Director and Director respectively as the fourth generation of the Myers family takes operational control of the business, John Myers takes role as Chairman
The Myers Group is re-branded with Naylor Myers becoming Myers Building Supplies, Boards Timber becoming Myers Timber and Honley Skip Hire becoming Myers Skip Hire
Johnson Wellfield Quarries becomes the largest dimensional sandstone quarry in Britain
