Myers Group Directors James Berry & Katie Berry were delighted to present Yorkshire Air Ambulance Fundraising Director Paul Gowland with a cheque for the total amount raised by Myers teams and customers during the Yellow Yorkshire fundraiser.
A special fundraising Breakfast Morning was held at all Myers Building Supplies branches on Friday 1st July to mark the Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s Yellow Yorkshire Day and we set ourselves an ambitious target to raise £6,000 throughout our branch network during the event.
Myers marketing team produced a ‘BIG PRIZE GRID’ for each branch and donations were made in exchange for a chance to win a prize from the grid. The main prize at each branch was a Yellow Cordless Drill and there were smaller prizes up for grabs including t-shirts, mugs, pens, snap bands and tape measures.
Myers teams turned out in style donning yellow t-shirts to ‘help turn Yorkshire yellow’ and you, our customers, didn’t let us down.
A massive THANK YOU to all customers that supported our Yellow Yorkshire fundraising event, by making a donation in exchange for peeling a grid square from our prize grids, you helped us raise a massive £5,486.86 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The life-saving rapid response emergency service relies mainly on donations. It’s a very worthy cause and we very much appreciate your assistance in fundraising.
